There will be a painting and drawing gallery featuring work from locals and Rural Studio students/teachers.

There will be a video and projection room with home videos, super 8, and a 1958 South-East vacation.

There will also be food. Lots of it. Including a donation of 150 FREE CORNDOGS. Who could as for more?

This is the first event to ever happen at the Lab. It will be an opportunity for locals to experience live music and interesting art in a community where it doesn’t happen very often. It was also reverse the normal flow of traffic: instead of Hale Countians always having to go to Tuscaloosa and Birmingham to experience an  event like this, we’re bringing them HERE. This was a goal of M08 from the beginning.

One of the bands is rather expensive to book ($1000) and I have been collecting donations (as you all already know). So far we have raised almost $400! Thank you so much for your help. I’m working on a creative fundraiser right now involving the act of $1 turning into $100.
