Happy Holidays everyone! Some quick news on PieLab in Alabama since it’s opening in early November.

 

Pie shop used as venue to connect to Hale residents

Almost a dozen varieties of pie were available at Pie Lab’s grand opening celebration in November.

They sat on old racks scavenged from the remains of failed restaurants — filling the shop with the smells of banana cream and pear berry, lemon meringue and organic cranberry — when Jenny Holmes of Folsom, walked in off Greensboro’s Main Street. And she bought a slice of nearly everything she saw.

But the young people rolling dough and ringing up Holmes’ bill wanted her thoughts more than they wanted her money.
